The 7 Best Productivity Apps
Somehow I managed to open all seven of these on my smartphone, which led me to doing a bit of research to discover the best productivity apps for women. I recommend you do the same. 1. Box Best for anyone, whether they’re small business owners, freelancers, or company directors, Box makes it easy to share, store, and collaborate on files. You can use Box as a cloud storage solution, either for personal use or for businesses that want to keep documents as files so they can be accessed by everyone in the company. You can use Box’s iOS app to store all types of files. They offer a 30-day free trial to test the software. For free users, the basic plans offer 1TB of storage. A business plan that starts at $8.50 per user per month offers 5TB of storage and a free trial.
1) Trello
This tool helps you get projects organized so you can more easily accomplish your goals. After creating your boards, you can drag and drop tasks to help manage them. What’s more, you can assign due dates to tasks and set due reminders, which gives you an easy way to get things done. Once you’re done with your project, you can check on tasks with your team, delete unneeded boards, or email your team member who assigned it. Trello also lets you easily share boards so your friends and family can easily collaborate. 2) Clock-Up This free app allows you to create a daily to-do list, track time, and see who has what to do. It also lets you create events and invite people to join a Clock-Up “office.” You can save content as PDF documents or share content via email.
2) Todoist
Everyone needs a task manager these days. What’s even better is that you don’t have to have to look for one. Todoist is one of the most popular apps on the market and it’s super easy to use. Instead of flipping through a mountain of apps to find one that works best for you, Todoist is a full-fledged and incredibly helpful app. You can easily mark your tasks on a timeline or set due dates and can also organize your tasks by urgency. Todoist is also a great tool for sharing tasks with friends and family. The app also integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Evernote, and Facebook, so you can share the same task with coworkers or clients. The app is free, but you can also pay a $34.99 a year subscription for premium features.
3) Asana
The Asana app is designed to make your time at work and home a lot easier. Whether you’re working on a project, organizing your work calendar, tracking your team’s progress, or organizing your home or office — this app can help you get your work done more effectively. It’s the easiest way to organize, prioritize, and collaborate with your team. The free version offers unlimited projects, but you can upgrade to get more perks for your team, including offline access, more integrations with other apps, and real-time chat. Other perks include the ability to invite team members, track and submit work, and the option to have shared projects accessible by team members. 4) Toggl Similar to Asana, the Toggl app lets you track time and assign tasks to team members and get a report back.
4) Evernote
You’ve likely heard of Evernote, but do you know what it is? It’s an application that allows you to take notes, capture inspiration, save web pages for later, and so much more. Basically, you take notes on your desktop computer and on your phone (when it’s connected). It’s just that easy. No matter how busy your life is, Evernote is designed to make things more efficient. Just like Evernote, Apple keeps trying to make syncing less of a hassle. It’s been a few years since iCloud debuted and it’s still kind of hit or miss with the process. Evernote solves that problem by allowing you to backup and sync notes between all your devices. When you’re working on your iPad, just pull up your notes and you’re right where you left off on your Mac. Evernote works across both iOS and Android devices.
5) Google Calendar
Every day, Google Calendar allows you to schedule and arrange an array of tasks and appointments on your calendar. With the search engine’s new app, you can also complete daily tasks such as: Book meeting Calendar errands Schedule lunch Add events to your agenda Memorize information Print or forward the calendar to another device 4) Evernote Although the Evernote app doesn’t yet have a full-featured free version, you can access all of the app’s features through its web and desktop version. With the app, you can record audio, attach images and documents, add reminders, and much more. The free version also includes powerful search capabilities and your files are encrypted to protect your privacy.
6) Toggl
Toggl is the best productivity app for the time-strapped entrepreneur or professional. It’s designed to help you stay organized and on top of tasks while you work from anywhere. With over 45 different types of productivity tools to choose from, you’ll never have to struggle to stay on top of things again! There’s an endless number of useful features available on Toggl, including progress bars, various time tracking solutions, due dates, push notifications, customized events, text reminders, location awareness, and more. Plus, Toggl is free to use on up to 5 personal projects, and just $15 per project to use on teams. The best part is that you can start a new project right away, and you can track and view all your projects in one place, using your favorite mobile or desktop apps!
7) RescueTime
Not only does RescueTime track how you spend your time, it also helps you to work smarter, and not so hard. If you’re not familiar, RescueTime is a tool that tracks the time you spend on different activities, and then provides a score, a graph and statistics. You’ll also be able to see what activities consume the most of your time and how often you pick up your phone or laptop. One of the most useful features is the mind map — this is a really helpful visual representation of your habits. RescueTime is the only app on our list that works on Windows, Mac, and iOS, so check it out to start feeling more productive! 6) Day One There’s a reason why this app has over 5 million users.
